Community Service

At The Freibott Law Firm, we care deeply about the community we serve. Our employees are active in the community through volunteerism. Activities in which employees of the firm have participated include serving as volunteers in mock trial proceedings to help local high school students to understand the court system and how it works; working with local young athletes in various organized sports programs; serving on committees for local governmental entities; supporting various causes benefiting children; and participating in various fund raising events for numerous community-based projects.  The employees of the Freibott Law Firm have also established an annual contribution to Faithful Friends of Delaware, a local animal shelter.

Steven Mones, who has lived in Delaware for over 20 years, has assisted with Piedmont Little League T-Ball and with YMCA basketball.

Kathy Fogelgren has lived in Delaware for over fifty years. She volunteers for Special Olympics Delaware at the annual Summer Games and the Law Enforcement Torch Run, and participates in the Polar Bear Plunge held each year in Rehoboth Beach. She also volunteers at the Alliance for the Mentally Ill in Delaware (AMID), facilitating peer to peer counseling and providing support to family members affected by mental illness.

Susan Cargnino, who has lived in the Wilmington area for over 25 year, is a Board of Directors Chairperson for the City of Wilmington Head Start Program and also volunteers at the Mary Campbell Center.

Jessica Skalski, who moved to Delaware from Illinois in 1999, has coached a basketball team for the Diocese of Wilmingtons Catholic Youth Ministries basketball league for several years.

Fred Freibott, a Delaware native, has been active in the Diocese of Wilmingtons Catholic Youth Ministries football and basketball program and the Wilmington Lacrosse Club. Fred also served as President of the athletic booster club at his childrens' school and on the Board of Trustees and was co-chairperson for the schools' Capital Campaign.

We are also proud to sponsor programs in and around our community. For example, The Freibott Law Firm is an annual sponsor of the St. John the Beloved Basketball Tournament. We have sponsored Latino soccer teams, supported the Latino Day Parade, and have sponsored programs for the Wilmington Head Start program and Brandywine Valley Friends' "Annual Day of Thanks Literacy and Education Program."
